How did you hear about Whitney Browning Boudoir? : My (at the time) Future Mother In-Law
Why did you choose Whitney Browning Boudoir for your session? : Whitney’s photos on her website were beautifully inspired. They celebrated every women’s self expression & their own unique identity. Each photo had sultry details that reflected each client’s personality… it was so evidently clear! I had to choose Whitney!
What were your fears coming into the session? : My fears were all my self doubts. What if I hate the way my body is posed… What if I look “fat”?… All the fears were just my own doubts of myself
Did those fears come true? : Not. A. Single. One.
What was your favorite part of the experience and why? : It felt like I was seeing ME for the first time. It changed my understanding of myself, how I look, who I am, and what I embody as a young woman.
How did you feel DURING your session? : I had no idea how the images were turning out… Whitney’s continued enthusiasm & encouragement made me feel like I could climb Mount Everest! I felt the strongest, most powerful self I had ever been.
How did you feel seeing your images for the first time?: Tears. I cried. I couldn’t believe how much the love for myself blossomed when I saw the first few photos. Narrowing down to “my favorite” images was WAY harder than I thought it’d be. I remember saying “Victoria Secret, WHO?” to Whitney when viewing the images the first time.
Do you feel like you have a better relationship with your body since your session?: A trillion percent. I love me, I’m happy with me, and I celebrate me.
What will you do in the future to show yourself some self-love? : Purchase the bag, get the jeans, wear the LBD, slap on those heels… celebrating myself every single day!
Would you ever do another session?: ...DUH…
Do you have any advice for women interested in booking a boudoir session?: My best word of advice is to stop letting your fears run your life. Let the opportunity for self-love, happen. Stop asking yourself “What’s the worst that can happen” and choose to ask “What’s the BEST thing that could happen!”. I promise, when you start asking yourself that question, you will start living your life by opportunity & positivity!
Anything else you'd like to share?: You are worth it! Celebrate yourself! I didn’t know what celebrating myself was until I took my photos with Whitney. My (now) Mother-in-Law was the one who encouraged me to do these. I was in the process of losing weight and had dropped 50 pounds. I was self-conscious, still seeing myself the way I had negatively viewed my body. With her and Whitney‘s help, it transformed how I see myself, and who I see myself as. I can’t thank Amy and Whitney enough. Brittaney Simmons is the most talented make-up & hairstylist, she played such a big role in my photos that day. I can’t thank her enough either! I’ve shut off my book to all my best girlfriends, and every single one of them are in all of how everything turned out, and I still am! It was such a transforming mental and emotional experience that I didn’t think was a part of just creating an intimate, sultry photo album. It was truly a turning point in my life, and change my mentality on so many things about myself & my confidence.
