Huntsville AL Boudoir Session | Divorced Diaries Edition

“My husband told me he wanted a divorce.

And four months later, I stepped in front of a camera for my fourth boudoir session.

This one felt different.

Not because I suddenly had zero insecurities. I still wondered if I should have lost a few more pounds first. I still thought about the angles I don’t love, the parts I usually cover, and whether I would actually feel sexy once the camera was pointed at me.

But then the music started. The nerves faded. And somewhere between poses, laughter, and being told, “YES, hold that,” I stopped thinking about all of it.

I just felt…free.

There is something incredibly freeing about taking up space without apologizing for it. About wearing the thing you thought you “couldn’t pull off.” About looking at the back of the camera and thinking, *Wait. THAT is me?!*

Whitney has this funny way of reminding you that confidence was never something someone else gave you.

It was yours the whole time.

Life can make you forget that. Marriage, motherhood, work, heartbreak, responsibilities—somewhere along the way, it becomes really easy to see yourself only through the roles you fill for everyone else.

For a few hours, none of those roles mattered.

I wasn’t trying to be attractive enough for someone else. I wasn’t wondering whether someone chose me.

**I chose me.**

And walking out of my fourth session, I felt lighter. Bolder. A little more wild. And a whole lot more like myself.

Maybe that’s the best part of boudoir with Whitney.

You walk in worried about how your body is going to look in the pictures.

And you walk out remembering how damn good it feels to belong to yourself.”
