Why did you choose Whitney Browning Boudoir for your session?
I’ve been following the Facebook page for about a year, and I was so impressed with the style of her photos. I loved the studio props and sexy but very classy style. I kept thinking, I really want to look like that.
Did you have any obstacles or fears about your session?
At 18 I had a breast reduction that resulted in a post operative infection, unfortunate scaring, and pretty deep body image issues. Even after a corrective augmentation, I still carry those insecurities, but I have a husband who loves me and tells me I’m beautiful. I’m so very glad I didn’t let those insecurities keep me from this experience.
Did anything change about the way you see your own beauty / sexuality / body confidence as a result of this session?
I had no idea how I would feel when I got there, much less when I left, and it’s difficult to describe how empowering it felt to see myself from each angle. I felt a different deeper kind of beauty and appreciation for my body as a whole. Especially my breasts, I already talked a little about healing after reduction and augmentation, but this was the first time I’ve ever seen myself as beautiful. I even stood taller when I left (my mom told me I looked skinnier but I think it was just the confident posture), and I have let go of some of that old pain. I feel like Whitney captured the absolute best parts of me in the most beautiful ways.
What was your favorite part of the experience and why?
Most definitely the reveal. I just spent the last couple hours posing and concentrating and wondering if I was crazy for doing it, and I didn’t realize I would get to see my photos same day. That was so awesome, and it was such a professional and dramatic reveal. Even seeing my name in a pretty script was such a cool touch, but when I could see how absolutely gorgeous the photos were. I was just blown away.
How did you feel DURING your session?
I was surprised how comfortable I felt. I think that’s mostly because Whitney is so professional. Even though I was half dressed to no dressed, she made feel comfortable by giving clear directions. We went real smooth from one pose to another and I really felt like she had a vision for what would look best with my outfit and body.
How did you feel seeing your images for the first time?
There just aren’t words! I felt like a goddess! I almost can’t believe it is me, and I can’t stop smiling.
Would you ever do another session?
Yes
Do you have any advice for women interested in booking a boudoir session?
Don’t “wait” to book your session. There won’t be a perfect weight or hair. There is beauty in us all and Whitney will find it and show it to you.
Do it for yourself. Yes, it’s an awesome gift for the husband or boyfriend, but it can also give you back a sexy spark that carries over into your self image and daily life.
Spend the money on yourself without guilt. We as women, wives, and mothers take care of so many. It’s a treasure to see yourself goddess style.
