How to choose the right boudoir photographer for you

Booking a boudoir session is a BIG DECISION, it’s a gift to yourself, it’s about stepping into your confidence, reclaiming your power, letting yourself be seen, and celebrating who you are right now. That’s why choosing your boudoir photographer is so important- it’s about finding someone who doesn’t just take bomb ass photos, but makes you feel safe, seen, and empowered.

The truth is, boudoir is vulnerable. You want a photographer who has experience with all body types, who guides you through every pose, who hypes you up, and who makes the whole process feel like fun instead of something scary. You deserve someone who doesn’t just photograph you, but creates an experience that leaves you walking taller, smiling bigger, and seeing yourself in ways you never imagined.

Things to consider when making your choice:

The style.

We all have different styles, there are photographers who shoot bright/airy, and some that are more dark/moody. Go through all the galleries.

Editing is also something to consider, some photographers do very little and others do a lot- I typically stay in the middle, removing things like acne but leaving stretchmarks- still YOU, but touched up (and this is something I discuss with each client to make sure you get what you want).

The vibes.

You can typically see how a photographer interacts with clients in behind the scenes videos.. is it relaxed, is it fun, is there posing guidance or do they just say “look hot” and leave you to figure it out?

What’s included? Professional hair and makeup? Lingerie closet or help shopping? Do you get products?

Client reviews: This one is SO important. Read what other clients have to say about their session on google/the website/social media. If there is no reviews- big red flag.
